The general scope of work includes the installation of hardscape and softscape elements to the existing small park located at 2700 S Nelson Street, Arlington, VA 22206. Work Location:2700 S Nelson Street, Arlington, VA 22206 PROJECT DESCRIPTION SUMMARY 1. Existing Site Protection -Contractor to protect all existing streets, driveway, sidewalks and adjacent properties as required for this site improvement. Upon completion of installation, all said property shall be restored to original condition. The contractor shall maintain and repair to the existing condition of the site driveway during and after the hardscape/ landscape installation work. 2. Landscaping - Contractor to landscape site as per landscape plans. Erosion control measures shall remain in place until the site is fully stabilized, and, upon inspection and acceptance, the Contractor shall remove all erosion and sediment control measures.The contractor must contract with the public art firm Graham Projects LLC (contact info.: graham@grahamprojects.com; 443-827-8806) for the following work to be installed by this artist: a. Pavement Artwork (Asphalt Painting) b. Community Table c. Upcycled Lamp Seats d. Trash/recycling Receptacles e. Drum Riser Stage f. Memory Wall images and commemorative signage for Small Performance Area g. Art wall panels and traffic light covers shade for shade structures h. Painting of and 3D sign for Shipping Container (signage permit is required) i. Painting of Bin Block Seating j. Painting of ADA-compliant picnic tables k. Painting of Adirondack chairs 4. The Contractor shall be responsible for all supervision, monitoring, and control of the work; and for coordinating all aspects of the work. All trade permits including the Shipping Container signage permit are the responsibility of the contractor. 5. The Contractor shall keep a competent superintendent or competent superintendent assistant on the work site, always, during the work progress. All such persons shall be satisfactory to the Project Officer or designee. The Contractor shall provide sufficient personnel and management services for the assigned tasks.
