Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Arlington, Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; water / sewer project; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
The Contractor will furnish all labor, materials, and equipment for the construction services to replace the existing superstructure and repair the substructure at Arlington Ridge Road. The bridge will be placed on the existing horizontal alignment using phased construction. One lane of traffic in each direction will always remain open. The proposed typical section will have 4 - 11' lanes and a 12' raised sidewalk on each side. The 12' wide sidewalks will improve safety for pedestrians and bicycles. The 12' sidewalks will extend to the intersection of Rte. 120 to the north of the bridge and tie into the existing sidewalks as quickly as possible on the south end of the bridge. The project also includes MOT, lighting, utility relocations, trail improvements, and bridge artwork (the "Project") and all other work shown, described, and required by the Contract Documents (hereinafter "the Work") The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is A. Morton Thomas & Associates (AMT), 105 Arbor Drive, Suite 101, Christiansburg, VA 24073. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 9:00 AM-5:00 PM by request and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below.
