Sealed bids for the furnishing of labor and materials to mill and resurface Country Club Drive with full depth repairs where necessary to include sidewalk, drive approach, catch basin and curb repairs where necessary. Bids are to be submitted on the following proposal: resurfacing and repair of Country Club Drive, including approximately 13,266 SY of milling, 1,108 CY of asphalt, 4,843 SY sidewalk, and 4,365 FT of curb, with full-depth repairs where necessary, all as directed by the City Engineer and in accordance with the Conditions, Specifications, Plans and/or Drawings included in the bid packets. The estimated cost will not exceed $1,055,785.20. Pursuant to ORC Section 153.54, no bid shall be considered unless it is accompanied by a Bid Bond for the full amount of the bid -OR- a cashier's check or certified check, issued by a responsible bank or trust company and payable to the order of the City of Xenia, or a letter of credit issued in accordance with ORC Chapter 1305., in the sum of at least ten percent (10%) of the bid. The bid guaranty or bid bond shall be enclosed with the sealed bid. The attention of Bidders is directed to the special statutory provisions contained in ORC Chapter 4115 governing the prevailing rate of wages to be paid to laborers and mechanics employed on this Project; ORC 153.11 regarding domestic steel use requirements; ORC 164.05 regarding preferences for Ohio products, materials, and labor; and ORC 153.59 regarding nondiscrimination. The City of Xenia reserves the right to reject any and all Bids and to waive any discrepancies or irregularities in the Bids. The Bid will be awarded, in the City's discretion, to the lowest and best Bidder.
