The scope of work includes construction of new sidewalk on Lipscomb Street, Monroe Street, and University Boulevard as well as ADA and traffic calming improvements, including new rectangular rapid flashing beacons, and speed cushions on Lipscomb and Monroe Street. A bus pad is proposed on Lipscomb Street just south of Cedar Lane. Bids must be accompanied by a cashier's check, bid bond or negotiable instrument in an amount not less than five percent of the bid. Bid bonds shall be countersigned by an agent having an established place of business in the State of Florida. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 55 days after scheduled closing time for receipt of bids. Bidders must include one original and one copy of their submitted bid. The City of Melbourne, Florida, reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to waive technicalities and informalities.
