Project includes the removal and replacement of existing gutter liner with a new EPDM gutter liner and associated sheet metal flashings as well as minor tie-in with adjacent EPDM roof membrane. Removal and reinstallation of electric heat tape will be required to accomplish this work. Project also includes the cleaning of efflorescence from approximately 50 SF of existing brick. Bids will be received for a stipulated sum contract. Bid security shall be agreed upon as the measure of liquidated damages which Owner will sustain by failure, neglect or refusal of bidder to deliver a signed contract stipulating performance of the work in unqualified compliance with Contract Documents or furnish the required 100% Contract Performance and Payment Bond within ten (10) days after receipt of Notice of Award. The Iowa Board of Regents seeks to provide opportunities for Targeted Small Businesses in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 73 of the Code of Iowa. This project has a participation goal for certified Targeted Small Businesses. The participation goal of 10% is specified in the Special Conditions. The Iowa Board of Regents reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive irregularities and to accept that bid which is deemed in the best interest of the Owner.
