Reference Number 0000374791 The University of Utah (University) on behalf of the Geology Department is seeking a Clean Room Hood Supplier (Vendor). Proposed items or systems must be able to provide services as described in the attached document A-Clean Room Hood Requirements and mandatory specifications in section 2.0. The hoods will be installed in an ISO 6 (Class 1000) trace metal clean lab. Corrosive acids will be used on a daily basis in the lab, and so a prime importance is placed on non-corrosive building materials (e.g., polypropylene). Two of the hoods need to conform to ADA requirements, for example by ensuring the area below the hood workspace is free of cabinets. The hoods are preferably installed by contractors building the clean lab We would like to purchase five polypropylene hoods. The exterior height of each hood should be less than 101". The exterior width of each hood should be ~60". The exterior depth of each hood should be less than 40". The ideal workspace height inside each hood is ~50" width, the ideal height ~36", and the ideal depth ~25'. Although note that we would consider slightly different workspace dimensions.
