Base Bid #1: Site Work Work will include site preparation, construction fencing, temporary soil erosion and sediment control, site removals and clearing, earthwork, storm sewer utilities, concrete paving, curbs, abutments and footings, crushed stone paving, artificial turf play surfacing, fitness equipment, gaga ball pit, batting cage, disc golf site furnishings, pedestrian bridge, landscape planting, and turf grass seeding. All bidders will be required to submit Bid Security in the form of a Bid Bond, Certified Check, or Cashier Check in the amount of 10% of the Base Bids, payable to the Northfield Park District. The Northfield Park District reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, parts of any and all proposals, or to waive technical errors or omissions in submitted proposals. No submitted bid may be withdrawn until a period of sixty (60) days after the bid opening date, without written consent of the Northfield Park District. The Northfield Park District encourages minority business firms to submit bids on this project and the successful contract bidder utilizes minority businesses as sub-contractors for supplies, equipment, services, and construction. The Northfield Park District will award the contract(s) to the lowest most responsible and responsive Bidder, for each base bid, base bid plus any accepted alternates, or any combination thereof as determined by the Northfield Park District to be in its best interests. In considering the Bidder responsibility, the Northfield Park District may evaluate, among other factors, the ability of the Bidder to provide experienced labor sufficient in numbers to timely and properly complete the services, the financial capability of the Bidder, and the performance of the Bidder on other projects.
