Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Hillsboro, Ohio. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
Highland County, State of Ohio, through its Board of County Commissioners, will receive bids for HIG TR 118-0.70 Gibler Road Bridge Replacement Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal, a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in Bond form, shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. The owner intends and requires that this project be completed no later than October 31, 2025. Prevailing wages rates, as determined by the Federal Dept. of Labor, will apply to this project in accordance with the Davis-Bacon Wage Act. Only ODOT pre-qualified contractors are eligible to submit bids for this project. Pre-qualification must be in force at the time of the bid, at the time of the award, and through the life of the construction contact. Subcontractors are not subject to the re-qualification requirement. The prime contractor must perform no less than 30 percent of the total original contract price. The Highland County Board of Commissioners reserves the right to accept the lowest and best bid, reject any and all bids, and to waive any irregularities in bids.
