The City is requesting bids to provide and install new audio and visual upgrades at the Foundry Art Centre. Bidder shall also provide training on how to operate the new equipment. Bidder shall be responsible to remove and dispose of any site debris on a daily basis. Bidder shall ensure that work areas are properly and sufficiently barricaded to protect the public from any hazardous conditions. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond, cashier's check or a certified check for an amount not less than five (5) percent of the bid amount, payable unconditionally to the City of Saint Charles, Missouri as a guarantee that the bidder will execute a contract and furnish the required bond if the bid is accepted. Failure to submit bid bond will result in rejection of bid. Per City Code of Ordinance Section 145.020, "On all contracts for public work of any kind to be performed for the City, the cost of which is estimated to exceed fifty thousand dollars ($50,000.00), every Bidder entering into contract with the City for any such public work shall execute therewith and file in the office of the City Clerk a bond, with good and sufficient sureties to be approved by the City Attorney, in an amount equal to the contract price for such work and conditioned among other things for the faithful performance of the contract, the payment of any and all materials incorporated, consumed or used in connection with the construction of such work and all insurance premiums, both for compensation and for all other kinds of insurance, on the work and for all labor performed in such work, whether by subcontractor or otherwise."
