Bidder is required to provide a bid surety in the form of a bid bond or certified check payable to the City of Pawtucket in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid price. The 3.0 MG tank and the 5.0 MG tank will be removed from operational service during all phases of work. The selected Contractor is responsible for all phases of the project including but not limited to accomplishment of the in-service cleaning of accumulated sediments, conducting the visual inspection and evaluation of the tanks to establish the prevailing conditions of structural surfaces and protective coatings along both the interior and exterior surfaces, evaluation of the overall structural integrity of the tanks and foundations and a final report of findings. This is to include a recommendation(s) for future repairs or maintenance along with a probable budgetary cost of construction for all recommendations. All work to be conducted in compliance with applicable AWWA,\ RIDOH and OSHA standards. The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, or portions thereof, at any time, with no penalty. The City also has the right to waive immaterial defects and minor irregularities in any submitted proposal at its sole discretion. All material submitted in response to this Sealed Bid shall become the property of the City of Pawtucket upon delivery to the Purchasing Agent.
