The purpose of this combined two-step Invitation for Bids (IFB) is to establish a term contract through competitive sealed bidding with two or more licensed and qualified vendors to provide site repair and improvement services to Christopher Newport University (CNU). The contractor shall provide maintenance, repair and site improvements on the CNU campus as may be required/on an as needed basis. The initial contract shall be for one (1) year with an option to renew for six (6) additional one (1) year periods. Awarded firms are not guaranteed work or work on any scheduled basis. It is the intent of this solicitation and resulting contract(s) to allow for cooperative procurement. Accordingly, any public body, (to include government/state agencies, political subdivisions, etc.), cooperative purchasing organizations, public or private health or educational institutions or any University related foundation and affiliated corporations may access any resulting contract if authorized by the Contractor. Work Location: Christopher Newport University, 1 Avenue of the Arts, Newport News, VA 23606.
