NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Alhambra Unified School District, acting by and through its Governing Board, hereinafter referred to as "District", will receive sealed bids for the following project: BID NO. 1305 - 23/24 - CHURCH DEMOLITION PROJECT ("Project" or "Contract") The Project consists of all labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary to demolish and remove from site all structures (above and below ground, basement) and materials as stipulated and implied in the contract documents. Includes backfilling approximately 920 cubic yards of soil stockpiled onsite, allowance for disposing items at the Construction Office, and installing a permanent 6'-0"H, 2" mesh chainlink fence around the perimeter of the site with (2) 8'-0" wide driveway swing-gates and (1) 3'-0" wide pedestrian gate with blue windscreen. The Contract Time is ninety (90) consecutive calendar days to complete all scope. The available fund for this Project is estimated at $800,000. See Exhibit 1 for map of meeting location. Walk duration will be approximately one and a half (1.5) hours. Any Contractor bidding on the Project who fails to attend the entire PreBid Conference and mandatory site visit will be deemed a non-responsive bidder and will have its bid returned unopened. Each bidder shall be a licensed contractor pursuant to the California Business and Professions Code and be licensed to perform the work called for in the Contract Documents. The successful bidder must possess a valid and active Class A or B License at the time of bid and throughout the duration of this Contract. The Contractor's California State License number shall be clearly stated on the bidder's proposal. Bidder and subcontractors are required to be registered as a public works contractor with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to the Labor Code. The Bidder's registration must remain active throughout the term of the Contract. Subcontractors shall be licensed pursuant to California law for the trades necessary to perform the Work called for in the Contract Documents. Bidder is required to certify that it either meets the Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise ("DVBE") goal of three percent (3%) participation or made a good faith effort to solicit DVBE participation while bidding this project. Pre-Bid Clarifications (RFI's) regarding this Invitation for Bid must be received in writing to Elizabeth Roman at bids@ausd.us by 10:00 AM on Thursday, February 13th, 2025. Responses will be issued by 10:00 AM on Friday, February 14th, 2025 via email and/or website posting. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or waive any irregularity in any bid received. Unless otherwise required by law, no bidder may withdraw its bid for ninety (90) days after the date of the bid opening.
