Renovation of a multi-residential development in Aspen, Colorado. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.

**As of April 11, 2025, the project was awarded to Elevator Technicians but the awarded amount is not available.** Reference Number 0000371506 The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to solicit professional elevator refurbishment services for the redesign and refinishing of two exterior elevators at the Truscott Apartments in Aspen, Colorado. The goal of this project is to address significant wear and corrosion caused by high tenant use and environmental exposure, ensuring the elevators are durable, safe, and functional for long-term use. The desired outcomes include improved elevator aesthetics, enhanced durability against outdoor elements, and compliance with safety and quality standards to meet the needs of the complex's residents. Question Deadline 02/27/2025 at 11:59 PM MT Questions are submitted online Yes The City reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals or accept what is, in its judgment, the Proposal which is in the City's best interest. The City further reserves the right, in the best interests of the City, to accept a late submittal or to waive any technical defects or irregularities in any and all Proposals submitted. 1 Project Description, Background, Goals, and Objectives The Truscott Apartments, a 196-unit employee housing complex in Aspen, Colorado. Managed by the Aspen Pitkin County Housing Authority (APCHA), the property includes two multi-story buildings (Building 50 and Building 600), each equipped with exterior passenger/service elevators installed in 2002 by Otis Elevator. Over the years, these elevators have experienced significant wear and tear due to high tenant usage, exposure to environmental elements, and the frequent transport of ski equipment and other bulky items. Both elevators serve four floors, operate at a speed of 125 feet per minute, and have a load capacity of 2,500 pounds. However, their deteriorating condition--marked by prolonged downtime and corrosion--necessitates modernization and refurbishment to restore functionality, improve safety, and ensure compliance with current accessibility and operational standards.
