Landfill Operations for Muscatine County Sanitary Landfill 3700 Hwy 61 North, Blue Grass, Iowa that will include handling the daily operations of handling waste, compaction of waste, covering of waste, road maintenance (internal and haul roads), snow removal at facility, repairs of erosion, leachate seeps, areas of subsidence, mowing, maintaining the perimeter fence and other maintenance of landfill areas Question Deadline 02/17/2025 at 12:00 PM CT The Landfill takes on average 200 tons waste daily, Monday thru Friday. The average yearly tonnage landfilled is 40,000 tons. Contract Start: July 1, 2025 Contract End: June 30, 2030 Qualified bidders may be required to attend a scheduled interview. Bidders will be notified of the time and location of the interview. The interview panel will be comprised of Iowa landfill managers, landfill engineering staff and County Solid Waste Agency and/or City Council members.
