Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a mixed-use development in Eddyville, Iowa. Completed plans call for the addition of a 8,200-square-foot educational facility; for the demolition of a educational facility; for site work for a educational facility; for the renovation of a educational facility; and water / sewer project.

The project consists of 2 additions to the current EBF Jr/Sr High School building. One addition adding 6 classrooms to the north wing of the Jr/Sr High School, and a second addition adding a new food storage building on the northeast side of the cafeteria/kitchen area. The addition of the 6 classrooms will be approximately 6,600 square feet, with construction materials and scopes including the following: Site work, Demo, Utilities, Concrete, CMU, Brick, Steel Fabrication, Steel Erection, EPDM Roofing System, Aluminum Window and Door Systems, Doors, Casework, Light Guage Framing, Interior Finishes, Flooring, HVAC/Plumbing and Electrical. The addition of the food storage building will be approximately 1,600 square feet, with construction materials and scopes including the following: Site work, Demo, Utilities, Concrete, Brick, Steel Fabrication, Steel Erection, EPDM Roofing System, Light Guage Framing, Interior Finishes, Flooring, HVAC/Plumbing and Electrical. BP 01 - Site Work, Utilities, Concrete, Masonry: Demo of exterior concrete, Install of utilities and drainage systems for project, Provide and install all concrete footings and slabs, CMU block and brick for the project. BP 02 - Steel Fabrication and Erection: Provide and install steel structural components, including, columns, joist, lintels, decking and railings. BP 03 - Roofing: Install of 90mil EPDM roofing system for both additions along with associated metal flashing, coverings, and box gutter systems. BP 04 - General Construction: Light gauge framing, wall sheeting, air barriers, insulation, doors, hardware, overhead door, drywall, ACT ceiling system, casework, countertops, shelving, food storage equipment, wall protection, and classroom specialties. BP 05 - Aluminum and Glazing: Provide and install aluminum door and window systems, and miscellaneous glazing for BP 04. BP 06 - Flooring and floor coatings: Provide and install flooring systems throughout the project, LVT, carpet tile, poured epoxy flooring, and sealed concrete. BP 07 - Mechanical/Plumbing: Provide and install, new HVAC systems for additions, Demo and move existing HVAC systems as needed, provide and install all plumbing for project. BP 08 - Electrical: Provide and install new electrical systems for the additions along with complete fire alarm system for the entire high school. Firms must score a minimum of 85 points out of 100 to successfully meet the prequalification criteria. 1. Firm's experience as a Contractor in similar scopes of work- 20 points 2. Capacity of key personnel- 15 points 3. Technical competence- 10 points 4. Capability to perform- 20 points 5. The past performance of the firm and firm's employees to include the firm's safety record and compliance with state and federal law- 25 points 6. Availability to and familiarity with the location of the project subject to bid- 10 points Anticipated Construction: Start June 2025, completed by April of 2026
