Ft. 4"-8" Concrete Sidewalk The above public work will be let to the lowest responsible bidder and shall be performed in accordance with the plans, specifications, and contract now on file in the office of the Director of Public Works. No bid shall be received or considered unless accompanied by a certified check equal to five (5) percent of the bid or bid bond in equal amount payable to the City as a guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, the bidder shall execute and file the proper contract and bond within ten days from the date the lowest responsible bid is accepted. In case the bidder fails to file such contract and bond within the time set by the City, the check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the City as liquidated damages. Unless previously qualified, Contractor's bidding on these contracts shall be prequalified before receiving plans and specifications. The minimum wage scale to be paid on said project by the Contractor is either included in the specifications or on file in the office of the City Clerk in accordance with Section 66.0903, Wisconsin Statutes. No oral interpretations shall be made to any Bidder as to the meaning of any of the contract documents or be effective to modify any of the provisions of the contract documents. Every request for an interpretation shall be made in writing and addressed and forwarded to the Director of Public Works. Unless previously qualified, Contractor's bidding on these contracts shall be prequalified before receiving plans and specifications. Proof of Responsibility forms may be obtained from the Director of Public Works and shall be filed with him for consideration by the Public Services and Safety Committee not later than 4:00 P.M., Februray 12, 2025.
