As of June 16, 2025, the project was awarded to James F. Pedersen., with an awarded amount of $7,671,825.00. Dorchester County is seeking bids from qualified and experienced Class WL (Water & Sewer Lines) contractors interested in completing the Water Interconnection to Ridgeville - Phase 1 project. Project consists of installation of approximately 33,300 linear feet (LF) of 16-inch water main, which includes 28,910 LF via open cut, 880 LF via jack and bore, and 3,485 LF via horizontal directional drill. Project will also include installation of approximately 60 LF of 12-inch water main via open-cut, twenty-eight (28) fire hydrant assemblies, fifty-two (52) water service connections, and associated appurtenances and fittings. CONTRACT COMPLETION Contractor shall have three hundred and sixty (360) calendar days for Substantial Completion and three hundred and ninety (390) calendar days for Final Completion after receiving a Notice to Proceed in the form of a County purchase order. Payment Bond: 100% of the total amount of the Contract. Performance Bond: 100% of the total amount of the Contract.
