The Town of Pennington Gap will be accepting sealed bids for lighting installation along the 7,000 ft. greenway. Work includes poles, LED fixtures, underground conduit, and electrical service. The Town of Pennington Gap is seeking qualified contractors to provide and install lighting along our existing greenway. The greenway is approximately 7,000 feet in length. The scope of work includes but is not limited to the following: 1. Lighting Poles and Fixtures: o Supply and install fifty-nine (59) Class 5 wood poles, each 35 feet in total height, with 30 feet above ground. o Space poles approximately 120 feet apart along the entire length of the greenway. o Install fifty-nine (59) 50-watt LED dusk-to-dawn lighting fixtures. 2. Electrical Components: o Install fifty-nine (59) 120-volt VAC GFCI outlets, one per pole. o All conduit for wiring shall be installed underground and sized per code requirements. o No asphalt shall be cut; boring under asphalt will be required. o Install proper service to power the lighting system, including all necessary transformer connections and service drops. 3. Control System: o Lighting to be controlled using photocontrol circuits with time clock controls. o Include manual override functionality for the control system. o Install one 100-amp outdoor control panel on the Little League building and one located at the power center behind the town hall. Verification of placement to be confirmed by the contractor. 4. Compliance: o Ensure all work complies with state of Virginia electrical codes and any other applicable regulations. o Contractor is responsible for obtaining all necessary permits and completing all required inspections.
