Site work and renovation of a civil project in San Rafael, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

The Project work is generally described as a. Installation of District-furnished sludge pump. b. Construction of equipment pad, pipe support, mount pump, and patch floor. c. Miscellaneous piping and electrical work. d. Demolition of existing pump and piping. e. Providing support for PLC testing, I/O verification, and miscellaneous system integration. f. Painting of new piping and pump and miscellaneous air ducting work. Installation of Owner-furnished sludge pump including associated piping and electrical work. Pursuant to UPCCAA procedures, interested bidders must be prequalified by the District prior to submitting an informal bid for projects under $220,000 such as this Project. Failure to do so will disqualify the bidder. Responses to this invitation from prequalified bidders must be received by District no later than the date and time and at the place shown above for consideration. Electronic copies are acceptable if followed by a phone call to the District at 415-472-1734 confirming receipt prior to the bid opening time. Email to: Michael P. Where appropriate, the District may respond to such questions by addenda transmitted to all bid package recipients. The Project Contractor shall furnish all tools, equipment, apparatus, facilities, labor and material necessary to perform and complete in a good and workmanlike manner the construction of the SLUDGE PUMP REDUNDANCY PROJECT as shown in the Project Technical Specifications and Drawings and in accordance with the Contract Documents within 150 calendar days of the Project commencement date specified in the Notice to Proceed for the Project. All work should be performed and completed in a 30-day window within the contract duration of 150 calendar days. The Engineer's estimate is $75,000. 7. SCOPE OF WORK. The Project work is generally described as: a. Installation of District-furnished sludge pump. b. Construction of equipment pad, pipe support, mount pump, and patch floor. c. Miscellaneous piping and electrical work. d. Demolition of existing pump and piping. e. Providing support for PLC testing, I/O verification, and miscellaneous system integration. f. Painting of new piping and pump and miscellaneous air ducting work. 9. Pursuant to California Public Contract Code Section 3300, a Class A General Engineering California contractor's license is required to bid on the project. In accordance with California Business and Professions Code Section 7028.15, all project work must be performed by properly licensed contractors and subcontractors with active licenses in good standing as of the date and time specified for bid opening. Bids that do not satisfy applicable licensing requirements will be considered non-responsive. Licenses must be issued by the Contractor's State License Board of California and must be maintained in good standing throughout the project term. 10. In accordance with California Labor Code Section 1771, not less than the general prevailing rate of per diem wages for work of a similar character in the locality in which the project is to be performed, and not less than the general prevailing rate of per diem wages for holiday and overtime work fixed as provided in the California Labor Code shall be paid to all workers engaged in performing the project. In accordance with California Labor Code Section 1770 and following, the Director of Industrial Relations has determined the general prevailing wage per diem rates for work in the locality in which the project is to be performed. In accordance with California Labor Code Section 1773, the District has obtained the general prevailing rate of per diem wages and the general rate for holiday and overtime work in the locality in which the project is to be performed for each craft, classification or type of worker needed to perform the project. In accordance with California Labor Code Section 1773.2, copies of the prevailing rate of per diem wages are on file at the District Engineer's Office and will be made available on request. All bids will remain valid for sixty (60) calendar days after the bid opening. Except as permitted by law and subject to all applicable remedies, including forfeiture of bidder's security, bidders may not withdraw their bid during the sixty (60) day period after the bid opening. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive minor irregularities and/or formalities as determined by the District, to award the bid by item or groups of items or in total, and/or to award the bid in the manner most advantageous to the District. The District reserves the right to, at its discretion, purchase additional units, within a reasonable time, at the bid unit price, upon concurrence of the bidder.
