School District No. 91 (Nechako Lakes) invites proposals for Spring sweeping for many of the facilities in our district. Opportunities to put in a bid price for the 2025 Sweeping Contract will be opened on February 6, 2025. To arrange a site visit please contact Lee Strizich for the West end (Burns Lake) and Ken Tanninen for the East end (Fraser Lake, Vanderhoof and Fort St James). A site tour is mandatory for new contractors. Specific Requirements: o Sweeping area discussed by Maintenance Area Coordinator or his designate. o Removal of debrisif necessary. o Any damage to School District facilities/grounds done by your equipment may be repaired by you or the School District will complete the repairs and charge you accordingly. o Maintaining three-million-dollar liability insurance and WCB coverage. o All work must be done after hours or on weekends. o All sweeping must be completed by May 16, 2025. Failure to comply with these requirements, or any other requirements that were identified in the proposal, may result in: o cancellation of the sweeping contract o a hold-back of funds owing; and o the hiring of another contractorto complete the work. You will be asked to provide a community quote showing the breakdown by individual site. This will be awarded as a one year or three- year contract. Upon decision the following conditions shall be met by the contractor/s: o That School District No. 91 (Nechako Lakes) can obtain a current letter of clearance from WCB regarding your firm. o The awarded contractor agreesthat all WCB,regional provincial and any other applicable environmental and/or safety regulations will be adhered to. o The lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted. o SD91 reserves the right to award or reject any or all tenders and to waive any minor informalities or irregularities in tenders received. o This tender, if awarded may be in whole or in part and SD91 reserves the right to award this tender to multiple bidders. In the event of funding difficulties, some areas or facilities may be eliminated to meet budget constraints. o Criteria for award or rejection of this tender may include but not be limited to the following: price stated, total cost implication, product quality, references, past performance and demonstrated ability and personnelto fulfill the requirements of the tender. o A confirmation letter will be sent out that you agree to these above conditions will be signed and returned to the Maintenance office. o SD Contractors Orientation Package reviewed and signed and returned.
