The scope of work for the Municipal Parving 2025 contract is expected to include the items listed in Appendix 2 - Schedule of Quantities and Prices. This includes removal and replacement of asphalt in the arena parking lot, placement of asphalt along Government Street and 3rd Avenue, and asphalt patching on Aspens Street and Kerr Street. Tom Forsyth Memorial Arena Parking Lot Paving The intent of the arena parking improvements is to construct a well-drained, smooth asphalt parking surface that freely sheet-drains North and West, away from the arena foundation. 200 square metres of overlay asphalt will be required adjacent to the existing building as shown in green below. Be advised, the Village of Burns Lake has a defined budget that must not be exceeded. As such, any item may be increased, decreased or removed in its entirety at the discretion of the Village of Burns Lake. Government Street and 3rd Avenue Paving Deep utility installation, road subgrade works, and concrete for Government Street and 3rd Avenue will be constructed under a separate contract. The intent is to provide a smooth asphalt surface for the road and parking areas identified on the design drawings and shown below. The surface of Government Street, through to the extent of the curb returns, will be paved with 75mm asphalt. The surface of 3rd Avenue and parking areas will be paved with 65mm asphalt. Aspen Street and Kerr Street Asphalt Patching Deep utility installation and road subgrade works will be constructed under a separate contract. The intent is to provide a smooth asphalt surface for the 260 square metres of asphalt patching required on Aspen and Kerr as shown below.
