Amendment 0001- Corrects Projnet Key Access Code.The Norfolk District, Corps of Engineers is procuring a firm-fixed-price contract for the Design-Bid-Build construction of the complete removal and replacement of the existing 170,430 SF roof of Building 32 (bays F-M)with a new in-kind EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Terpolymer) roof. UPDATE: W9123625B2008 is expected to be solicited in the month of May. This is a pre- notice. This is NOT a . Do NOT submit proposal or in response to this notice. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Norfolk District (NAO) intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) acquisition for the roof repair of Building 32 at DSCR Richmond, VA. This procurement will be conducted in accordance with FAR Part 14, Invitation for Bid. The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) contract. The requirement will be as a 100 8(a) Small Business . The applicable NAICS code is 236220, Commerical and Institutional Building ion with a Business Size Standard of 45M. Product Service code of Z2EZ - Repair ro Alteration of Other Industrial Buildings. In accordance with FAR 36.204(g) disclosure of the magnitude of ion projects, the magnitude of ion is between 5,000,000 and 10,000,000. Project Description: Provide labor, material and equipment to perform the following: USACE NAO is seeking 8(a) small businesses capable of the complete removal and replacement of the existing 170,430 SF roof and Building 32 (bays FM) with a new in-kind Ethylene Propylene Diene Terpolymer (EPDM) roof. The removal and in-kind replacement include downspouts, roof drain, expansion joints, covers, flashing, walkway pads and associated roof components. The exisitng skylights will be removed and blocked off with a new roof. Non-roof componenets are also included, these are the removal and in-kind replacement of piping penetrations, conduits, equipment curbs, ladders, and security covers. The existing equipment will remain or will be removed, stored and re-installed. The exisiting equipment includes the mechanical and static ventilators, mini split condensing units and controls. Patch, repair and repaint will be part of the scope that is associated with the re-roofing work for damaged or affected metal panels, louvers, windows and masonry. Portions of the exisitng wood deck will be repaired and/or retrofitted as required. Lower roofs are also included in the removal and replacement work. The IFB and accompanying documents will be issued electronically and will be uploaded to PIEE approximately late February early March. Telephone calls or written requests for the IFB package will NOT be accepted. Prospective bidders are responsible for monitoring SAM.gov to respond to the and any amendments or other information regarding this acquisition. Prospective bidders are required to be registered in SAM when submitting an offer and shall continue to be registered until time of award, during and through final of any contract. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this Time *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
