1. Type a. All materials bid shall meet the specifications as set forth in the South Dakota Standard Specifications for Road and Bridges, 2015 Edition; and b. Material shall be pink quartzite 2. Sizing a. Class A Riprap b. Class B Riprap c. Class C Riprap d. 8-10" Rock e. 2-3" Rock f. 1 1/2" x 3/4 Ballast g. 3/8" DOT Chips 3. Delivery a. Bid Price for delivery shall be separate from the material. Bid price by ton per loaded mile will be paid from the quarry to the identified delivery point. b. Deliveries shall be made between the hours of 7:00 AM and 4:30 PM. c. Bid allows for reasonable unloading time prior to demurrage fees incurring. d. The County may cancel a load of material if supplier is notified three (3) hours prior to scheduled delivery time. e. The County shall approve all proposed haul roads. f. The County may transport material themselves or by contractor. 4. Acceptance of Aggregate Material a. All material, which after review does not meet the current South Dakota Standard Specifications for Roads and Bridges as noted in Item #1 or not meeting County specifications may be paid at a percentage of the unit price bid as negotiated by the contractor and County based upon the quality of the load. 5. Award of Contract b. The Board of Commissioners reserves the right to award separate contracts if deemed in the best interest of the County to do so. c. The County does not guarantee purchase of any given quantity but does guarantee to purchase exclusively from the successful bidder during the term of the contract. 6. Bid Guidance d. The cost per ton for material(s) and delivery charge should be the ONLY thing written upon the Bid Form, no other annotations, calculations or writings allowed. e. The Yankton County Board of Commissioners, Yankton, South Dakota, will reject any or all bids that are altered either by adding, deleting or changing any of the original wording of the specifications or Bid Form.
