Description

Renovation of a municipal facility in Elyria, Ohio. Working plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

**As of March 20, 2025, bids received were rejected as they were over the budget.No definite date for the rebid. Cooling Tower Replacement Project All contractors involved with this project shall, to the extent practicable, use Ohio products, materials, services and labor in the implementation of this project. Bids must also be accompanied by a bid bond, issued by a surety company or corporation licensed in the State of Ohio, certified check, cashier's check or Letter of Credit equal to ten percent (10%) of the amount bid, or a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond, in the form found in the Project Manual, for the full amount of the bid. All labor shall be paid not less than the prevailing wage rate as determined by the Ohio Department of Commerce. The Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities or irregularities if it is deemed in the best interest of Lorain County to do so. Any interpretation, correction or modification to the specifications desired, shall be submitted in writing to Jeff Armbruster, County Administrator, 226 Middle Avenue, Elyria, Ohio 44035 and must be received at least seven (7) days prior to the date of the bid opening.
