Site work for a bridge / tunnel in Greenville, South Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
Background During Tropical Storm Helene the existing 72" CMP at this location washed away along with the road and roadbed on top of it. The County wishes to replace it with a 108" diameter, 50' long corrugated aluminum alloy culvert with concrete headwalls, wingwalls, and aprons with toe-downs. Riprap with geotextile fabric and erosion control blankets will be installed on each end of the culvert. The washout location is on Chick Springs Road in Taylors between Old Rutherford/Stallings Road and St. Mark Road. The project occupies County right-of-way and private property.
