Liquidated damages of $500.00 a day will apply All questions regarding this project shall be submitted to the City of St. Peters Purchasing Department in writing to Bids@stpetersmo.net under the subject line before noon local time, Thursday, February 13, 2025. The City reserves the right to waive any informality in bidding, and to accept the bid most advantageous to the City Prep Pool Surfaces to be Painted: Including TSP and acid washing, power washing, and removal of all debris, dirt, oils, algae, mineral deposits, etc. from the surface that may prevent proper adhesion. Preparation of surfaces must also be in accordance with coating system's specifications. City will be responsible for pumping out any standing water greater than 1" deep prior to contractor arriving onsite to start prepping the pool surfaces. Patch any chips, cracks or divots in the pool shell concrete to create an even surface. Recoat pool with one coat catalyzed epoxy paint in the color of white. Paint to be Induron Permaclean II, Tnemec 161, or approved equivalent. Lap lane lines, nose of stairs and underwater benches, targets and basketball court lines will be painted with a blue color to match the existing color. Apply silica sand or approved equivalent non-skid texture to the tops of steps, benches and areas of the floor that are 18 inches deep and shallower. Protect surrounding areas and surfaces not scheduled to be coated from damage during surface preparation and application of coatings. Immediately remove coatings that fall on surrounding areas and surfaces not scheduled to be coated. Awarded contractor must field verify all measurements and is responsible for verifying footage. A City of St. Peters representative must approve any further repair in advance in writing. A City of St. Peters representative must approve surface before painting begins. Awarded contractor to provide full warranty information. Awarded contractor responsible for cleanup, such as debris in the pool, main drains, skimmers and surrounding areas as well as securing of the work site. All debris created during the installation shall be removed from the site at awarded contractor's expense. The awarded contractor is responsible for any damage to City property incurred during this project. All damage must be repaired to the City's satisfaction, prior to final payment being made. Awarded contractor is responsible for the safety and security of the work site including materials and equipment that is left overnight on City property. The City of St. Peters has extended the deadline for questions until noon local time, Wednesday, February 19, 2024.
