Summit County Government is receiving Proposals for the 2025 Summit County Chipping Program. This summer 2025 project includes the following items of work: Wood piles throughout Summit County will be collected, chipped on site, and hauled to the Summit County Resource Allocation Park (SCRAP). Landowner prepared wood piles will be located along roadways throughout the Summit County service areas. Wood pile removal is the responsibility of the awarded contractor. Sticks and debris shall be blown or swept away to maintain clear roadways. Complete removal of all wood pile material supports wildfire prevention and is the program objective. The Summit County Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive irregularities or informalities, and to conduct such investigations or negotiations as it deems necessary to select the most responsible and responsive proposal.
