Renovation of a residential development in Kinston, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.

For two (2) small home rehabilitation projects For additional information, please contact Tyra Hines at 252-939-4021. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive informalities, and accept the bid(s) deemed in the best interest of the City. 1. General Requirements • All work must comply with local building codes and regulations. • Obtain necessary permits prior to starting work. • Work hours will be Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. 3.2. Debris Removal • Remove any hazardous materials (e.g., asbestos, lead paint) as required. • Dispose of debris in compliance with local regulations. 3.3. Interior Renovations • Identify and repair weak flooring in hallway. • Add padding between the floor and carpet in hallway and bedrooms. • Install ADA-compliant handrail in shower. • Install ADA-compliant shower bench in bathroom. • Close gap in between bathroom wall and floor. • Repair and repaint ceilings in the bedroom. • Repair and repaint ceiling in living room. 3.4. Exterior Work • Install ADA-compliant wheelchair ramp attached to the front porch. • Power wash the exterior of the home. • Install new front porch steps, replace porch posts, and repaint. • Install side porch steps. • Replace handrails on front and side porches to ensure safety with like material. 1. Plumbing Work • Cover exposed piping in the bathroom. • Ensure all systems meet code requirements. 3.4. Interior Renovations • Locate and repair weakened spots in flooring in kitchen and bathroom—replacing with like material. • Relocate water heater to a more concealed location, optimizing space for better mobility 3.5. Exterior Work • Repair or replace damaged siding. • Repair or replace damaged window in bathroom. • Replace concrete steps in front and side of home and add handrails to ensure safety. 4. Deliverables • Detailed project schedule with milestones. • Regular progress reports (weekly/bi-weekly). • Final inspection report upon completion.
