Replacement of HVAC Equipment at the Christiansburg Aquatic Center The Project at the Christiansburg Aquatic Center facility consists of installation of 4 pool dehumidification air handling units, its associated distribution, and all work associated with other trades as detailed in the contract documents issued as part of Bid documents. Pre-Bid RFI's following the pre-bid meeting are due by 5:00 p.m. EST on May 05, 2025. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. PROJECT DESCRIPTION Work shall be performed in accordance with the Scope of Services of this solicitation. The General Contractor (GC) shall provide all expertise, labor and resources in connection with the replacement of Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning systems (HVAC) and construction at Christiansburg Aquatic Center (CAC) with extensive site work and coordination. The CAC is located at 595 N Franklin St, Christiansburg, VA. The GC will be required to work with the Towns Engineering Department, Town of Christiansburg (TOC), Christiansburg Aquatic Center (CAC), and the Architect/Engineer (A/E) to: i. Advance the procurement and construction for the Project in a manner consistent with the Project budget, the schedule, programming and other requirements for theProject. ii. Develop a construction schedule to achieve the TOC & CAC substantial completion date. iii. Develop a cost proposal to facilitate work as required by the 100% Construction documents issued. iv. Upon acceptance by the TOC of the cost Proposal, the Contractor shall mobilize his subs to procure equipment, demolish the noted HVAC systems and structures perthe required Phasing detailed under this section, including performing all hazardous materials abatement and selective and bulk demolition necessary. The contractor shall install new HVAC systems based on the approved design, for the competitive pool and leisure pool. The town requiresthe Project to be constructed to meet the contract documents and all applicable codes and regulations.
