The District of Columbia Government (the "District"), acting by and through its Department of General Services ("DGS" or the "Department"), Division of Contracts and Procurement, collectively the "District", seeks to engage multiple Small Business Enterprise ("SBE") firms (the "Contractors") to provide City-wide On-Call Snow Clearing Support Services on an as-needed basis across District-owned and/or leased properties (the "Services"). The intent of this procurement is to enable DGS to deploy city-wide, on an "as needed" and "where needed" basis, mobile work crews to supplement DGS's other snow and ice removal services. The Contractor shall provide supplemental support for snow and ice removal services on an as-needed basis on behalf of the Department of General Services (DGS). In general, the Contractor shall perform the required Services twenty-four (24) hours a day, seven (7) days a week. The intent of this Contract is to enable DGS to deploy city-wide, on an "as needed" and "where needed" basis, mobile work crews to supplement DGS's other snow and ice removal contract services. The awarded Contractor(s) shall provide all supervision, labor materials, tools, supplies, vehicles, lifts, equipment, transportation, travel, and all home office overhead to ensure effective performance of these services prescribed herein. The proposed Contract will have a term beginning with a base year ("Base Year") effective date of award through one year thereafter and include up to four (4) one (1) year option periods ("Option Periods").
