As of March 31, 2025, all sub-bids received. Construction expected to begin June 2025 and completion by November 2025. Work consists of the removal of approximately 13,500 sf of exterior metal panel wall systems, aluminum windows, and storefront window and door systems. New metal stud and EIFS walls with new aluminum windows and aluminum storefront systems will replace the existing exterior walls. The project also includes roof replacement work, new finishes on the interior side of the new walls and associated mechanical and electrical work. Larson-Danielson Construction Company, Inc. is the Construction Manager as Constructor (CMc) for the project and will award subcontracts for portions of the work based on the bids received and on combinations of the bids awarded. Project Documents consisting of the plans, specifications, and contract documents will be made available for examination by prospective bidders via Larson-Danielson s online planroom, which is accessed by going to Larson-Danielson's website, https://www.LDconstruction.com/, clicking Bids in the upper right corner, and then selecting the Knox Schools HS Exterior Facade Replacement project. Bidders shall pre-qualify for this project with Larson-Danielson by submitting a pre-qualification form and associated documents as required by the Project Documents. The pre-qualification form is included the project specifications. Completed pre-qualification forms and associated documents must be submitted via email to LDbids@LDconstruction.com by Monday, February 24th 2025, at 5:00 PM, Central Standard Time. All construction shall be in accordance with the Project Documents. All bids must be on the forms described and must include all attachments noted in the Project Documents. Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total Bid (including any alternates) must accompany each Bid over $200,000 in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders included in the Project Documents. Larson-Danielson Construction Company, Inc. may require the successful Bidder(s) to furnish Performance and Payment Bonds for one hundred percent (100%) of their contract price prior to execution of Subcontracts. See the Project Documents for additional information. Larson-Danielson reserves the right to accept or reject any Bid (or combination of Bids) and to waive any irregularities in bidding. All bids may be held for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days before awarding contracts.
