Site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Bolivar, Tennessee. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; for the construction of a pre-engineered storage facility; and pre-engineered storage facility.
A. The "Project," of which the "Work" of this Contract is a part, is titled "Bolivar Energy Authority Fiber Storage Building". B. The "Work" of this Contract is defined in the Contract Documents to include furnishing and paying for all necessary materials, labor, tools, equipment, and other items, and constructing complete in every detail and ready for Owner's beneficial use, as specified herein, and/or indicated on the Contract Drawings listed elsewhere in these specifications. This project shall consist generally of but not be limited to the following items: 1. A new PEMB storage building approximately 30'x90' with metal siding, metal roof paneling, and insulation which half will be enclosed to house warehouse type racking with overhead door access. Heaters and ventilation will be provided. The other half of the building will be an open air structure to provide roof coverage only. Site improvements include grading, fencing, gravel paving, and minor utility work. C. Contractor shall coordinate all work with Owner and Engineer. D. Contractor shall correct all deficiencies in "Work" by the Contractor as may be indicated by testing and as directed by the Engineer. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. The work to be done consists generally of: Constructing a 2,700 sf PEMB storage building to house fiber wiring and parts. Building will include associated site work which includes fencing, grading, and gravel lot. Proposals shall be submitted on proposal forms provided with the specifications and must be accompanied by Proposal Security in the form of Certified Check or acceptable Bid Bond in the amount equal to at least five percent (5%) of the Base Bid: such security to be forfeited as liquidated damages, not penalty, by any bidder who fails to carry out the terms of the proposal, execute contract and post Performance Bond in the form and amount within the time specified. The Bid Bond, if used, shall be payable to the Owner. Bids on the Project must be received on or before the period scheduled for the project and no bid withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the project for a period of forty-five (45) days. All bids submitted in excess of $25,000.00 by a Prime or Subcontractor to do any erection, building, construction, repair, maintenance, or related work must comply with Tennessee law. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids on any or all projects and to waive informalities.
