The City of West Jordan (City) requests proposals from Cemetery Columbarium Companies (Contractor) for the Cemetery Columbarium Project . The City of West Jordan is interested in adding several columbariums to our cemetery. The West Jordan Cemetery is nearly sold out of burial plots and staff has been instructed to look into alternative funeral service options to offer to the public. City staff has identified an area where several columbariums could be placed and is now interested in receiving proposals that are within the fixed project budget of $225,000. The City is seeking to maximize the allocated budget and encourage Contractor to submit unique proposals that fit the space available and maximize the number of niches available to the public. These niches should be functional in design and built out of high-quality materials. Attachment #1 is intended to show the space available (27'X 38' concrete pad) for the project and the general concept for developing the available area. The Contractor is encouraged to show creativity in the design concept and include the proposed products that will be provided within the design. The small landscaped footprint shown in Attachment #1 shall not be removed from the proposed plan, but all other areas are available for columbariums and bench niches. The design shall include a mixture of companion niches, single niches, double-sided columbariums, and single-sided columbariums. Contractors can submit up to two concept plans for the proposal and shall include the cost for each concept plan. The City's objective is to provide additional options to the public for cremation services at the West Jordan Cemetery. This project shall be completed, and final invoices received by June 30, 2025. The City will require the awarded contractor to provide Performance and Payment Bonds for the full value of the project. The successful Contractor may be issued a contract that will begin upon the contract execution date and will extend through June 30, 2026. The term includes a one-year warranty period.
