Base Bid: The Anderson Outdoor Classroom and Playground consists of an outdoor classroom & garden renovation at Anderson Elementary, totaling approximately 11,000 SF. Also included is the demolition and removal of existing playground equipment and rubber tile surfacing, totaling approximately 6,500 SF. Construction to include, removal of play equipment, removal of rubber tile surfacing, removal of play equipment concrete footings, patching concrete slab at playground to be prepared for new play equipment, unloading and storage of new play equipment, tree protection fencing, removal of shed's concrete foundation, removal of concrete sidewalk, removal of chain link fencing, site grading, site utilities, concrete foundations, concrete pavement, decomposed granite paving, chain link fencing, fence screens, birdhouse post installation, and seeding of all disturbed areas. Add Alternate #1: Fabric Shade Sail - The lump sum pricing for all items associated with installation of (1) 20'x20' Pyramid shade sail as shown in the drawings and specifications. Add Alternate #2: Fabric Shade Sail - The lump sum pricing for all items associated with installation of (1) Standard Arbor shade sail as shown in the drawings and specifications. Site Directions: The south parking lot of Anderson Elementary will give you access to site. Each Bid shall be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid submitted. Bid Security must be in the form set forth in the Instructions to Bidders and submitted in a separate sealed envelope clearly labeled Bid Security. Bid Security must be in one of the following forms: Certified Check, Cashier's Check, Certified Share Draft or an approved Bond Form. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Certificate of Insurance and Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds both in an amount equal to 100% of the Contract Price and in accordance with other requirements outlined in the Bid Documents. The Board of Directors of the BFCSD reserves the right to conduct such investigations as it deems necessary to assist in the evaluation of any apparent low bidder to establish the qualifications, experience, number of employees, and responsibility of the bidder to do the work. The District may require submission of AIA Document A305, Contractor Qualification Statement, at its discretion to the apparent low bidder.
