Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond on the form included in the Contract Documents, cash, or a certified or cashier's check in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the submitted Total Bid Price. The work to be done consists of furnishing all materials, equipment, tools, labor, and incidentals as required in the Plans, Specifications and Contract documents for said project to design and install a fire alarm system and provide monitoring services. The Project location is: Community Center Park and District Administration Office 1605 E. Burnley St., Camarillo, CA 93010 The successful bidder will be required to furnish PVRPD with requisite insurance and Payment and Performance Bonds on the forms included in the contract documents equal to 100% of the Contract Price The successful bidder will be required to complete all work within sixty (60) consecutive working days, exclusive of maintenance periods, beginning on the date stipulated in the written "Notice to Proceed" to be issued by the Project Manager. In accordance with Government Code section 53069.85, PVRPD will be compensated for damages incurred due to delays for which the Contractor is responsible. The parties agree that determining PVRPD's exact delay damages is and will continue to be impracticable and extremely difficult. As such, for each calendar day in excess of the time agreed upon for completion of all the work, the Contractor shall pay to PVRPD $250 per day as liquidated damages and not as a penalty or forfeiture. Such amount shall constitute the only payment allowed for damages resulting from Contractor caused delays. PVRPD shall have the right to deduct the amount of liquidated damages from any money due or that may become due under the Contract.
