Remodeling of a municipal facility in Moline, Illinois. Conceptual plans call for the remodel of a municipal facility.
The City of Moline is seeking qualifications from qualified firms to provide architectural services for the exploration and design of the City Hall Council Chambers and Administrative Office Area Remodel Project. The City invites qualified firms or individuals to submit proposals outlining their qualifications as described in this document. Moline City Hall is located at 619 16th Street, Moline, Illinois. The departments/divisions that will be located within City Hall include City Administration (7 staff), Legal (3 staff), Human Resources (6 staff), IT (4 staff), and Finance (17 staff). There is consideration to relocate the Council Chambers, currently located on the second floor, to the main floor where the current Community and Economic Development (CED) offices are situated. Since CED staff are being relocated to a different building, this will vacate office space. Consequently, this study will explore renovations for both floors of City Hall, along with the basement area. In addition to relocating the Council Chambers, the current plan is for the following departments/divisions to be located on the first floor: Finance. The following departments/divisions will be located on the second floor: City Administration, HR, and Legal. The basement of City Hall will also need to be evaluated for training and office space. Given the extensive space being renovated, the City is requesting that each firm provide two different layout options for review. The construction project is anticipated to be managed by a construction manager, who will be selected through a separate process, with selection assistance from the firm chosen through this Statement of Qualifications (SOQ).
