2025 Pavement Maintenance. It is anticipated that a "Notice to Proceed" will be issued on or before March 7, 2025. Question Deadline 02/20/2025 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents are to be directed to the City Engineer - Randall Roberts, PE 85 South Main Street, Oberlin, OH 44074 rroberts@cityofoberlin.com. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by the City in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by the City as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than five days prior to the date for opening the Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by formal written Addenda will be binding. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code which shall be either a certified check payable to the City of Oberlin, or a bid bond satisfactory to the City, in the sum of ten percent (10%) of the price bid. Bid security furnished in Bond form, shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. The successful bidder shall furnish a performance and payment bond in accordance with Section 13.4 of the General Conditions. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity. The owner intends and requires that this project be substantially completed no later than ninety days (90) after Notice to Proceed. The City of Oberlin reserves the right to accept the lowest and/or best bid, to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities in the bids received, and to enter into the contract which, in the sole judgment of the City, will best suit the City's needs.
