Site work and renovation of a civil project in Bay City, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
The deadline to ask questions is 3/20/2025 5:00 PM CST The 6th Street WTP Rehabilitation project includes, but is not limited to: Construction of a new arsenic adsorption system and appurtenant civil, structural, piping, and control elements for use of the system. Replacement of electrical gear within the existing facility. Replacement of the instrumentation and controls system within the existing facility. Conversion of the existing disinfection system from chlorine gas to liquid sodium hypochlorite, including relevant appurtenances. The Mockingbird WTP Rehabilitation project includes, but is not limited to: Demolition of existing electrical system, building, diesel engine generator, and generator fuel tank. Installation of new electrical system to include, but not limited to the following: main disconnect, motor control center, low voltage transformer, control panel, and lighting panel. Installation of new natural gas generator with sound attenuating weatherproof enclosure and automatic transfer switch. Installation of new pre-cast concrete building with HVAC system Question Deadline 03/20/2025 at 5:00 PM CT All questions regarding distribution or design of Contract Documents for this project are to be submitted to Engineer in writing via online Only questions answered by Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect. Proposals shall be accompanied by a cashier's or certified check upon a national or state bank in an amount of five percent (5%) of the total maximum proposal price payable without recourse to the Owner, or a proposal bond in the same amount from a reliable surety company, as a guarantee that the Offeror will enter into a contract and execute performance and payment bonds within fifteen (15) days after notice of award of Contract to him. Such proposal guarantee shall be made payable to CITY OF BAY CITY. The successful offeror must furnish a performance, payment, and maintenance bond upon the form provided in the amount of one hundred per cent (100%) of the contract price from an approved surety company holding a permit from the State of TX to act as surety, or other surety or sureties acceptable to the Owner. Davis-Bacon prevailing wage requirements apply to the construction, alteration or repair of treatment works carried out, in whole or in part, with assistance made available by the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF). The Davis-Bacon prevailing wage requirements apply to Contractors and Subcontractors performing on federally funded or assisted contracts in excess of $2,000 for a construction project under the DWSRF. For prime contracts in excess of $100,000, Contractors and Subcontractors must also, under the provisions of the Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act, as amended, pay laborers and mechanics, including guards and watchmen, at least one and one-half times their regular rate of pay for all hours worked over 40 in a workweek. The Fair Labor Standards Act may also apply to Davis-Bacon covered contracts Proposals must remain in effect for 120 days after the proposal opening date. Within 120 days from the proposal date, the Owner may award the contract to the lowest responsive, responsible offeror or reject any or all proposals for the project. The CITY OF BAY CITY reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive irregularities in the proposals and proposals deemed to be in the best interests of the CITY OF BAY CITY, and to reject nonconforming, nonresponsive, or conditional proposals. In case of ambiguity or lack of clearness in stating the price in the proposals, the Owner reserves the right to consider the most advantageous construction thereof, or to reject the proposal. Unreasonable or unbalanced unit prices will be considered sufficient cause of rejection of any proposal or proposals.
