Cash, a cashier's check made payable to the City of Brisbane, certified check made payable to the City of Brisbane, or Bid Bond executed by a corporate Surety insurer authorized to engage in such business in California, in an amount equal to at least ten percent (10%) of the bid. Each bid must be accompanied by a Proposal Guarantee amounting to no less than ten percent (10%) of the bid as described in the bid specifications. Said guarantee shall be forfeited to the City in case the bidder depositing the same does not enter into a contract within 10 days after written notice that the contract has been awarded to him. At the time of contract execution, the Contractor shall provide proof of insurance as required in the contract and a surety bond for faithful performance of the specified work in an amount equal to at least one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. The contractor shall also provide at the time of contract a surety bond for labor and material in an amount equal to at least one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. All bonds shall be submitted on the bond forms contained in the specifications. The City of Brisbane reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or any part of any bid.
