Site work and paving for a transportation facility in Brisbane, California. Completed plans call for site work for a transportation facility; and for paving for a transportation facility.

The scope involves providing final bid-ready design services for bus stop improvements, including infrastructure modifications and high-visibility striping additions, to ensure safety for pedestrians, bus stop riders, and cyclists, consistent with SamTrans Bus Stop Design Guidelines and ADA requirements. The City of Brisbane is seeking a qualified civil services consultant to provide the City with a final bid-ready design that is consistent with the most recent SamTrans Bus Stop Design Guidelines published in April 2024 and ADA compliant. The purpose of this project is to improve safety conditions for pedestrians, bus stop riders, and cyclists through infrastructure improvements and high-visibility striping additions. The consultant will provide the necessary services and expertise required to design the project and prepare a draft and final set of plans, specifications, utilizing the latest Caltrans plans and specifications and the City of Brisbane's boiler plate specifications and estimate for the project. The City will not provide technical support on this project. Engineering staff will review and comment on 30%, 65%, and 100% design before bid ready documents are provided. The TDM Cycle 3 grant funding agreement has not been executed, and only costs associated with the Cyle 2 ACR/TDM grant award (Bayshore Blvd./Van Waters and Rodgers Road NB) shall be incurred until notification by the City. The Consultant shall prepare and be compensated via a Deliverable-based Fee Schedule approved by the City. All costs associated with proposal preparation, including any preliminary design, plans, specifications, and estimates, shall be borne solely by the proposer. The Agency will not reimburse any such costs. The final proposal and any conceptual exhibits, plan sheets, renderings, and graphics should not exceed 15 pages in length. The scope of work will include: I. Engineering Design, Drawing and Specification Preparation - a. Design ADA-compliant curb ramps for 2 existing pedestrian islands at the Bayshore Boulevard/Van Waters and Rodgers intersection b. Design a new ADA compliant 150' sidewalk, curb, and gutter along Bayshore Boulevard northbound (NB) beginning at the Bayshore Boulevard/Van Waters and Rodgers Road intersection c. Design a new ADA compliant 150 ' sidewalk, curb, and gutter along Bayshore Boulevard southbound (SB) beginning at the Bayshore Boulevard/Van Waters and Rodgers Road intersection d. Design a new concrete pad for the installation of a SamTrans Bus Stop Shelter on Bayshore Boulevard NB approximately 150 ' north of the Bayshore Boulevard/Van Waters and Rodgers Road intersection e. Design a new concrete pad for the installation of a SamTrans Bus Stop Shelter on Bayshore Boulevard SB 150' south of the Bayshore Boulevard/Van Waters and Rodgers Road intersection f. Design a new concrete bus pad on Bayshore Boulevard NB located 150' north of the Bayshore Boulevard/Van Waters and Rodgers Road intersection that is consistent with the April 2024 SamTrans Bus Stop Design Guidelines g. Design a new concrete bus pad on Bayshore Boulevard SB located 150' south of the Bayshore Boulevard/Van Waters and Rodgers Road intersection that is consistent with the April 2024 SamTrans Bus Stop Design Guidelines h. Prepare a signing and striping plan at the Bayshore Boulevard/Van Waters and Rodgers intersection that includes high-visibility striping, any modifications needed to the existing Class II bike line buffered with a rumble strip" Class II bike lane in both directions including bike lane tapers, highvisibility crosswalks, green bike sharrows, pedestrian/bicyclist signage, etc. i. Traffic signal improvements to the existing Bayshore Boulevard/Van Waters and Rodgers traffic signal in the NB direction that includes following: j.Preparation of contract specifications and estimate for each of the items described above i. Installation of a new Type 3 Service meter pedestal and foundation ii. Installation of a new Iteris Vector Camera system iii. Installation of POLARA audible pushbutton and iN2(2 wires, Shelf Mount & SDLC support) system iv. Replacement of signal heads and hardware v. Temple Edge-Lit internally Illuminated LED signs vi. ADA upgrades vii. Additional improvements as recommended by the selected consultant The City has established a preliminary engineering (PE) budget of $200,000.
