Project description: The Project is located at the District s Cliff Campus located at 721 Cliff Drive, Santa Barbara, CA 93109. The scope of Work includes the interior soft demolition, as well as lead, asbestos and PCB abatement of an existing 74,000 s.f. Physical Education Complex in preparation for the construction of a new 77,000 sf., Type IIA, 4-story Physical Education Building by a different contractor to be engaged by the District via a separate procurement. Each Bidder shall be a licensed contractor pursuant to the Business and Professions Code and shall be licensed in the following appropriate classification of contractor s license for the work bid upon and must maintain the licenses throughout the duration of the Project contract C-21 Building Moving/Demolition Contractor, C-22 Asbestos Abatement Contractor, and HAZ - Hazardous Substance Removal Certification. In contracts involving an expenditure in excess of $25,000, the successful Bidder shall file a payment bond issued by an admitted Surety approved to conduct business in the State of California approved by the District in the form set forth in the Bid Documents (Civil Code Section 9550, et seq.). The successful Bidder shall also be required to file a Performance Bond issued by an admitted Surety approved to conduct business in the State of California approved by the District in the form set forth in the Bid Documents. The Payment Bond and the Performance Bond shall be submitted and approved by the District before any construction activity for the Project begins. The District reserves the right to reject any or all Bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in the Bid process. No Bidder may withdraw his/her/its Bid after the date set for the opening of the Bids.
