Site work, new construction and renovation of a municipal facility in Beverly, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the construction of a 36,328-square-foot municipal facility; for the renovation of a municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.
As of February 5 2026 this project has been awarded. The City of Beverly is located in northeastern Massachusetts in Essex County, approximately 18 miles from Boston. It is bordered on the west by the Town of Danvers, on the north and east by the Town of Wenham, and on the east by the Town of Manchester-by-the-Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. Beverly was established as a town in 1668 and incorporated as a city in 1894. The City has a population of 41,293 2022 federal census) and occupies a land area of 15.14 square miles. Beverly is governed by a Mayor and a nine-member City Council. The Beverly City Hall building was originally built i n 1783 for Andrew Cabot, a merchant who owned many ships. After his death the mansion was purchase d by another merchant, Israel Thorndike. The town acquired the building after Thorndike's death. After modifying it from a residence, Beverly used it as the Town Hall starting in 1841. The first major renovation took place in 1874 when the building's footprint was more than doubled, and a mansard roof was added, allowing for an extra story and cupola. Then in 1933-1934, the Civil Works Administration removed the fourth story and replaced the mansard roof with a flat roof. In 1938, a 9,000 sq ft addition was added to the east of the building to house the police services.
