Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Hayward, California. Working plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
Construct sidewalk and bike lane improvements along Meekland Avenue from Blossom Way to East Lewelling Boulevard and replace the Meekland Bridge over the San Lorenzo Creek. This project will provide a safer and more functional multi-modal corridor for all roadway users. It will also provide a safer route for those walking or biking to or from Colonial Acres Elementary School. This project is included in the County 2025-2030 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of February 12, 2026 this project is in the pre-construction phase. A general contractor has been named. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
