25-014 Custodial Services for DCSD Cluster Four PROJECT SCOPE The Douglas County School District, with this document, hereby requests a proposal from qualified Respondents to adequately prepare and submit a Response for the provision of Custodial services and light maintenance for school system property. The Respondent shall furnish all management, supervision, cleaning personnel, labor, equipment, cleaning supplies, paper products, tools, and other materials as required for custodial services for the Douglas County School District. BACKGROUND The Douglas County School District currently utilizes outsourced custodial services for 18 schools. The 18 schools are divided into two clusters. Cluster One has 8 schools and Cluster Two has 10 schools. ROPOSAL SECURITY Each proposal must be accompanied by a BID BOND in the amount of five percent (5%) of the base bid (excluding all alternates) for the first year of the contract made payable to Douglas County Board of Education and issued by a Surety authorized to do business in the State of Georgia. This security is required as a guarantee that the Respondent will do all of the following with thirty (30) business days of the proposal award. The successful Respondent shall be required to furnish a bond for the faithful performance on the contract and a fidelity bond to secure financial reimbursement to DCSD for the labor performed in performance of the project and any wrongful taking of DCSD property by a Respondent's employee. The performance bond shall be in amounts equal to 100% of the contract price. The fidelity bond should be in the amount of $500,000.00. Both bonds shall be issued by a Corporate Surety authorized to do business with the State of Georgia. All bids submitted shall remain open for a period of ninety (90) days after the date of the bid opening. Questions Due Date: Feb 28th 2025, 2:00 PM EST.
