Douglas County ("Owner" or the "County") is issuing this Invitation to Bid ("ITB") to solicit commercial and technical proposals ("Proposals") from bidders ("Respondents") for mowing services for various roads throughout the County, Douglasville, GA 30134 (the "Project"). Capitalized terms in this ITB, if not defined here, are defined in the Agreement (defined below) for the Project For the project known as: REBID FY2025 Mowing and Litter Removal on Various Roads Throughout the County The approximate extent and character ofthework isgenerally described as follows: Three (8) cycles of right-of-way mowing and litter pickup on approximately 258 miles of County roadways with the option to add or remove cycles as final budget dictates, which includes furnishing all materials, labor, and equipment for mowing complete including brush/slope trimming. Bidders shall inform themselves concerning Georgia Laws and comply with same. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond with good and sufficient surety or sureties approved by the owner for faithful acceptance of the contract, payable to, in favor of, and for the protection of the OWNER in an amount equivalent to five percent (5%) of the total amount payable by the terms of the contract or, in lieu thereof, in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or cash in equal amount. The Successful Bidder will be required to furnish performance and payment bonds with the executed Agreement meeting the requirements of the Contract Documents and executed on the forms attached to the Agreement. The terms and time for payment are set forth in the Agreement. Surety and insurance companies must have an AM Best rating of A-6 or greater, be listed in the Federal Registry of Companies holding Certificates of Authority and Acceptable Sureties on Federal Bonds and be licensed by the Georgia Insurance Department and the Georgia Secretary of State to do business in the State of Georgia. Bidder will provide a list of sub-contractors that will be used in conjunction w ith this project. Bidder must perform 70% or more of the project, without the use of subcontractors. All Bids will remain subject to acceptance for 60 days after the day of the Bid opening, but OWNER may, in its sole discretion, release any Bid and return the Bid security prior to that date. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive formalities and readvertise. The owner may award the contract as a whole or in parts to one or more successful bidders.
