Starbucks Renovation SCOPE 1.01 Information given in the SUPPLEMENTARY SPECIAL CONDITIONS are peculiar to this project, necessary for the progress of the work, and shall be provided as described herein. 2. LAYOUT OF WORK: 2.01 Verification: The initial layout shall include a verification by each prime contractor and subcontractor of the overall and critical dimensions and elevations of the Work of the Project to which the work relates, at the time of commencing this Contract. Each subcontractor shall submit a written statement to the General Contractor of the acceptance of the Work as it relates to theWork. 2.02 The Contractor shall be responsible to take such field measurements as may be required to determine the size of ordered material. In the event "Guaranteed Dimensions" are required, the Contractor shall advise other contractors by useof drawings, templates or mock-ups of the required conditions. 2.03 All Work and in particular piping, ducts, conduit and similar items shall be neatly and carefully laid out to provide the most useful space utilization and the most orderly appearance. Except as otherwise indicated or directed, piping and similar work shall be installed as close to ceilings and walls as conditions reasonably permit, located to prevent interference with other work or with the use of the spaces in the manner required by the functions of the space and the Owner. The Contractor shall carefully plan the layout and review any questionable installations with the Engineer. QUESTIONS, INTERPRETATIONS, AND ADDENDA 1. Should any bidder find discrepancies between the Drawings and Specifications, or should he be in doubt as to their exact meaning, he should notify the Architect-Engineer at once; NMU Engineering and Planning. The Architect-Engineer may then, at his option, issue Addenda clarifying same. The Architect-Engineer will not be responsible for oral instructions or for the Contractor's misinterpretations of Drawings and Specifications. 2. The University reserves the right to issue Addenda at any time prior to the bid opening. All such addenda shall become, upon issuance, an inseparable part of the Contractor Documents. Each bidder shall incorporate within his bid proposal all costs for items listed in the Addenda; and shall acknowledge receipt and the identifying number of each Addendum on the Bid Proposal Form and on the outside of the sealed bid envelope.
