The firm shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and incidentals required for Contracted Mowing and Grounds Maintenance. 2.1 This is a blanket order. The contract term will be one year with the option to renew for four additional one-year periods provided that both parties agree to the extension 60 calendar days prior to the end date. A price increase of 2.5% per year is allowed and must be approved by the City through a change order prior to renewal of the contract. 2.2 Frequency of mowing will be on a regular schedule or on an "as called" basis to be determined by Public Works. The number of mows may be increased or decreased dependent on weather. All scheduling will be transmitted by email. 2.3 Mowing includes mowing and trimming all grass and weeds and excludes edging curblines and removing brush or trees. Litter must be picked up before cutting and cannot be chopped up and left in place by the mowers. Shoulder mowing will extend to the speed limit sign at cross streets and excludes areas directly in front of businesses where the business is required to mow to the edge of pavement or back of curb. Mowing interchanges includes shoulder mowing of all ramps. 2.4 Weather permitting, the mowing will be done within 3 work days of email notification. 2.5 Price will include all vehicles, equipment, materials, labor, traffic control, and incidentals. 2.6 Each item and each cutting will be billed separately with a clear location, description, and purchase order number on the invoice. 2.7 Low bidder will be awarded based on the sum of all items in the bid.
