Memorial Drive Improvements - Poplar St to Main St General work description: Coordination with multiple other contractors, City departments, private property owners, and other project stakeholders. Construction of hydraulic cement concrete sidewalks, curbs, gutters, driveways, entrances, medians, accessible curb ramps. Modifications of existing traffic medians, islands, turn lanes, and through lanes. Construction and modifications of storm drainage, inlets, manholes. Installation of ground-mounted signage. Construction of street light pole foundations, bored underground electric conduit, junction boxes, and related infrastructure to support future installation of street lighting (street light poles and underground wiring/cabling not in this Contract). Construction of new mid-block crossing with pedestrian signalization (including rectangular rapid flashing beacons) and retrofitting existing signalized intersection with pedestrian signalization including underground conduits, cabling, conductors, junction boxes, pedestal poles, foundations, pedestrian heads, pedestrian actuation (APS push button stations), and revised signal timing implementation and incorporation into existing traffic signal system. Removal and replacement of permanent signs. Demolition of existing concrete retaining wall, curbs, gutters, sidewalks, and miscellaneous items as required. Construction of roadway subbase, asphalt concrete base, and asphalt patching. Temporary traffic control, maintenance and management of traffic, and related incidental work as required.
