As of September 19, 2025, a construction manager and an engineer has been selected. This project is in the pre-construction/negotiated status. It is anticipated construction will start in June 2026 and end in August 2026. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: Columbus City Schools announces a Request for Qualifications for the following projects: A. HVAC & Mechanical Improvements Package #26009: This project will consist of upgrades to various HVAC equipment at multiple facilities across the district. The anticipated project budget is $7.0 - $10M. The lead firm will be a Criteria Engineer (licensed engineer). B. Roof Replacement Package #26010: This project will consist of replacing the roof on four or more district facilities. The anticipated project budget is $2.0 - $2.5M. The lead firm will be a Licensed Architect. C. Outdoor Athletics Package #26006B: This project will consist of a variety of upgrades at one or more of the district's sports complexes. The anticipated project budget is $7 - $10M. The lead firm will be a Construction Manager. Additional project details can be found on the district's website under this same project description. Submittals will be evaluated pursuant to ORC 153.65-691 based on the following criteria: professional qualifications of key members of design team, relevant past work of prospective firms, other applicable consultants, quality control procedures, response to CCS Community Inclusion Policy (Local Economically Disadvantaged Enterprise goal is 20% participation), and location of primary firm relative to project locations. Fees will be negotiated.
