The construction project cost range is $650,000 to $750,000 Contract 1 includes contract labor and equipment for the project Contract 2 includes sewer materials only for the project. Contract 3 includes precast concrete materials only for the project. Bid for contract 1 must be accompanied by Bid security made payable to OWNER in an amount of 5% of Bidder's Bid price and in the form of a certified or bank check or a Bid Bond. The procedure for withdrawal of bid shall be according to the Virginia Public Procurement Act as amended. The bidder shall place on the outside of the envelope containing the bid and shall place in the bid over his signature whichever of the following notations is appropriate: "Licensed Class A Virginia Contractor No." "Licensed Class B Virginia Contractor No." Any BIDDER must give notice in writing of his claim of right to withdraw his Bid within two business days after the conclusion of the Bid Opening Procedure. If a Bid is withdrawn, the next higher bidder shall be deemed to be the Low Bidder. No Bid may be withdrawn unless said withdrawal is permitted by law. Withdrawal of a BID shall result in forfeiture of the Bidder's BID BOND. If the Bid is in the amount of $10,000 or more, the Bidder and its Subcontractors must comply with the provisions of Executive Orders 11246 and 11375, which prohibit discrimination in employment regarding race, creed, color, sex, or national origin.
